It was like stepping into paradise after our last 5 days of hectic travel. The front office is filled with amazing people. Our regular check in time was 2 pm, but we were reaching Rome much before 9 am. Both our kids had fallen ill in Florence and were still recovering. I made a special request through booking.com to the hotel requesting early check-in, which they said they would try but couldn't assure (which I totally understood). But surprise, surprise...The moment we step inside the hotel, it was as if the wonderful Tatiana and her equally wonderfully colleague knew who we were...they said, 'your room is ready' !!! I was literally taken aback. The entire Rome experience changed after that. There was nothing about the place that we didn't like, including the other front office personnel and their travel advice. I have given 10 stars everywhere. I recommend this place to everyone and will stay here again in case I decide to go to Rome again in a cooler month.

The location of this hotel is excellent. Everywhere on our list to see was within walking distance ❤️. The hotel is two minutes walk from Cavour metro station. Cavour is one stop away from Termini which is the main train/metro hub, and the direct line to Rome Fiumicino airport. The staff are really helpful, with nothing too much trouble. The bed was extremely comfortable, we slept really well. The breakfast was good with varied choice each morning. One evening when we arrived back at the hotel, we asked the evening receptionist for hot water for tea (we had our own tea bags). She asked if we would like a kettle which was great. She sent the hall porter up with a kettle, tray with cups and saucers, and a jug of milk, which was even better 😍 as we placed the milk in the mini bar fridge and it lasted us three days 🤩 The room was clean and well appointed

The location is steps from the Cavour metro stop making it close to the Colosseum easy to get around the major sights. It’s also within pickup range of a lot of Viator day-trips. The staff was really kind and helpful (they arrange for taxis without surcharges and there is a daily breakfast from 7:30-9:30 that you can add on for 9 euros). The room was very nice with hardwood floors, crown moldings, tv, fridge, and bathroom. The beds are small but VERY comfortable. I was so worried about soft droopy beds after walking, but these were perfectly supporting. Bathroom was cute and small but had everything we needed. Would definitely visit again!

Wonderful staff, all were amazing. Truly kind, helpful and wanted to make everything comfortable. The room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Renovated and large bathroom as well If you like Monti, this location was in the heart of it, one street away from amazing bars and restaurants, steps walk to the colosseum, minutes drive or 15 minutes walk to termini if you need the train to the airport. Really a great stay. I didn’t catch the breakfast but looked well done.

Hotel Duca d'Alba is the perfect location for short stay in Rome. We are a family of 5 with 2 adults and 3 kids aged 15, 13 and 10 and stayed for 3 nights. We were within walking distance of the Colosseum (5 mins) and beside the Roman Forum ruins. So many restaurant options near by. We especially liked the Baguetteria beside the hotel for easy lunch. The hotel staff and so helpful, they cant do enough and also speak fantastic English. I highly recommend this hotel!
